In 2024, NHK Spring employees carried out traffic monitoring volunteer activities more than 100 times in communities where our manufacturing sites are located. These activities involve standing at designated locations to watch over and ensure traffic safety. We also support traffic safety efforts through sponsorships.

For more than 20 years, NHK Spring has supported the operation of the Fureai Hiroba community welfare event as volunteers, in agreement with the objectives of the Aikawa Town Council of Social Welfare and the Aikawa Town Volunteer Liaison Council, which organizes the event. This event is held annually at Tashiro Sports Park in Aikawa Town, where our Precision Spring & Components Division has its Atsugi Plant. The event attracts many local residents and features food stalls, adoption events for rescued dogs and cats, and other community-focused activities. Exhibition Participation: Educational Initiatives Leveraging NHK Spring’s Core Strength in Manufacturing for the Children Who Will Shape the Future
The NHK Spring Group regularly exhibits at major trade shows such as the Japan Mobility Show (JMS) and the Automotive Engineering Exposition, as well as at exhibitions specifically designed for local children. One such example is Akita NEXT Motor Show 2024, at which NHK Precision Co., Ltd. and NHK Spring jointly exhibited in October 2024. Aimed at children in Akita Prefecture, this event was designed to introduce the appeal of manufacturing and the automotive industry. At the venue, NHK Precision Co., Ltd. operated a hands-on booth where children could experience precision metal processing. Participants had their names laser-engraved onto the body of a stainless-steel spinning top, then watched as the body and shaft were precisely assembled by machine into a seamless integrated unit. Finally, they competed by spinning the tops by hand to see whose would spin the longest. The booth proved extremely popular, with long lines throughout the event. All 400 spinning tops prepared were distributed to children, making it a memorable experience that effectively conveyed the joy and fascination of manufacturing. The NHK Spring Group will continue to pursue educational initiatives that leverage its strengths in manufacturing to inspire and nurture the next generation.

Factory Tours: Educational initiatives leveraging NHK Spring’s core strength in manufacturing for children and students who will shape the future
To introduce NHK Spring's business activities to stakeholders, we have provided opportunities for factory tours more than 100 times each year. For example, when local high school students visited our Shiga Plant in February 2025, they observed automated production lines using large-scale robots, as well as on-site equipment maintenance and continuous improvement activities. We also offer factory tours for local elementary school students, presenting manufacturing facilities in a way that is engaging and enjoyable.
Feeding children around the world through TFT
Since FY2013, we have participated in "Table For Two" (abbreviated TFT), a program in which every time an employee eats a specific menu item at the company cafeteria, the company supports school lunches for children in developing countries.
In total, we have donated 1,356,000 school meals, and since 2017, we have been recognized as a "Platinum Partner," TFT's top supporter, for nine consecutive years.

Donation of a Solar Power Generation System to School
NHK Spring’s overseas Group company, NHK Spring (Thailand), donated solar power generation system to schools located near its factories. This activity originated by NHK Spring (Thailand) has been successively introducing large-scale solar power generation systems across six of its plants since FY2022. The company repurposed a small-scale system that had previously been installed at one of its sites and donated them to local communities as a social contribution activity to Wat Kratum School in FY2023.
From FY2024 until now, the company also began providing newly built solar power systems donated in total of 4 schools. This initiative has been highly regarded, as it enables local communities to utilize clean energy and helps schools reduce their utility costs.
