SAA - Low Cost Initiatives

O Suspension Arm Assembly, SAA, is a coined term derived from HAA. SAA refers to a suspension attached to the arm without a slider.
O The suspension is attached to the arm at the same time as coil molding (single piece).
O SAA is not assembled with a ball
O The suspension is built without a base plate.

 

 
Applicable conditions for SAA

O SAA is limited to single plate and single head suspensions
O No heating process is used after SAA is completed. (Coils will deform at temps over 80)
O The head will only be used for rework (They must be SBB type).
