High shock performance is essential for suspensions used in mobile applications. To perform properly in this sensitive environment, a load beam that is lightweight and high in stiffness is required.
· By using super thin stainless steel (51~64um), a slim, short and light weight load beam can be designed
· The load beam will be box-bended to sustain high stiffness
With this light and high stiffness load beam, a G Lift off of 160~175 G/gf can be obtained.
Resonance
With the ongoing advancements in both HDD speed increases and density growth, high frequencies in the suspension resonance mode are also required by the mobile segment.
Through the combinations of light weight / high stiffness beams and FUMA configurations (multi-piece suspension), NHK has achieved high shock performance and high frequency for suspension resonance mode.
